As our online world turns today, blogs and websites each hold significant importance -- akin to Black Friday and Cyber Monday and why each experience their own success.
Where our online world will close the new decade will be shaped by Gen-X & Y, with preliminary indicators from Gen-Z reaching their 15-20 birthdays by 2020 (perhaps the year of perfect online marketing vision?). How quickly social networking eclipses, or brings obsolescence to websites, as known and built today, depends on the emergence of the first true global Web2.0 firm able to harness the people’s Web2.0 Internet contributions, serving the people alone, envisioning any other approach failing to gain endorsement the people desire and expect.
Advertising dollars have fueled generational method of awareness deployment from earl mail-in catalog shopping to newspaper and magazine print, radio/satellite and television/cable broadcast, to today’s 4g mobile devices, via the early and current Internet. The baton is begging handoff to several emerging, highly social influential brands, already playing compact discs while search engine technology has slowly moved from vinyl to 8-track, onto cassette tapes currently, at best.
Unlike the expansive Internet growth experienced and thus far understood, today’s librarians have yet to determine how best to catalog and index the sheer volume of books arriving let alone fathom if they’ve done so in a meaningful way for their own future success setting up a dynamic, radical online methodology over haul ahead -- indeed, truly exciting times to be a part of as we welcome 2010!
How Gen-X & Y vote with their wallets during the new decade will ultimately drive Fortune 500 merchandise branding medium determinations while marketing dollars drop their hooks where the fish are living. What unfolds this next decade will be as it should be, a method of providing relevant Web2.0 comprehension, ability, and wisdom as it began -- serving the people of Earth assimilating this wealth of knowledge from all its global contributors, empowering the people to make their own determination.
For at least the next couple years, wisdom suggests we’d best serve our business interests keeping our combo cassette/cd players in good working order.
Looking forward to our annual planning kick-off meeting next Tuesday!
